Madrid Book Fair

Madrid Book Fair
Held annually from the end of May to the middle of June in the Retiro Park, the Madrid Book Fair, with some 450 stands, attracts two and a half million visitors. Leading authors attend to sign copies of their latest works, and sales of the most popular individual titles run into several thousand each, with well over a quarter of a million all told. Children's literature and activities receive special promotion, and braille and multimedia productions have been a feature since 1995. Many new publications are launched in conjunction with the fair, which is also accessible via the Internet.
